ABOUT THE WEBINAR

Participants may elect to access the supplemental course prior to the date of the webinar in order to review related materials. To receive a certificate of completion and credit for attending the webinar, please know that you MUST complete all of the requirements of the course (including the quiz at the end). 

Description:

This webinar is part of an instructional design series featuring Regular and Substantive Interaction (RSI).  Each webinar in the series will feature a “remix” of RSI topics discussed during last year’s Academy webinars and include a guest participant to share their RSI perspectives.  The RSI Remix: Instruction, Assessment, and Feedback webinar will feature strategies for providing direct instruction and using the assessment/feedback loop to meet substantive interaction requirements. 

 

Session Date: January 24, 2024, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify strategies for direct instruction in an asynchronous environment 
  • Describe the assessment/feedback loop 
  • Summarize authentic assessment and its relation to substantive feedback in regard to RSI

This webinar is being taught by Dr. Christa Wilhite, the Instructional Design Specialist for the Division of eLearning and Instructional Technology at the Mississippi Community College Board. Christa is a graduate of the University of Alabama and holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. Professionally, Christa is focused on integrating technology into instructional practices to create learning experiences that are cohesive across modes of delivery. In her personal life, Christa enjoys applying learning and motivational constructs when working with dogs in a training environment.
