To receive a certificate of completion and credit for attending the webinar, please know that you MUST complete all of the requirements of the course (including the quiz at the end). 

Description:

Turnitin is a service that promotes academic integrity and deters plagiarism. This session will explore various functions of the tool including the Similarity Report, Draft Coach, Chat GPT, and AI writing. This live session will be facilitated by TurnItIn representatives. This session is limited to faculty and staff affiliated with one of the 15 community colleges in the state of Mississippi. If you do not have an institution-associated email address, you will not be permitted to attend the webinar.

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to determine:

  • How can the Turnitin Similarity Report help students prevent plagiarism?
  • How can Draft Coach be used to improve student writing?
  • The functionality of Chat GPT
  • How TII can be used to detect AI writing

This webinar is being moderated by Dr. Arianna Stokes, the Professional Development Specialist for the Division of eLearning and Instructional Technology at the Mississippi Community College Board. Arianna focuses her efforts on instructional technology, free digital resources, and content accessibility, assisting the MCCB and community colleges through experimental techniques, innovative learning activities, and the pursuance of data-driven decisions to inform Best Practices. Dr. Stokes holds a Ph.D. in Urban Higher Education from Jackson State University and a Master of Education in Educational Technology from Belhaven University.
