Description:

This webinar is part of an instructional design series featuring Universal Design for Learning (UDL).  Each webinar in the series will focus on a UDL Guideline and the corresponding checkpoints; best practices and examples for meeting the checkpoints will be provided.  The UDL Checkpoints 6.1 - 6.4: Provide Options for Executive Function will discuss ways to provide scaffolding for executive functions, whereas many of the preview UDL Webinars have focused on addressing lower-level scaffolding. UDL is a design framework that creates equity in education by removing barriers and optimizing student success by presenting information in an inclusive manner.  While completing the webinars as they are offered is encouraged, the UDL Checkpoints series does not have to be completed in order.

Session Date: February 16, 2022, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Create strategies for guiding goal-setting and supporting planning/strategy development.
  • Discuss the facilitation of information and resource management.
  • Develop techniques for increasing learners’ capacity for monitoring progress.
