Description:

This webinar is part of an instructional design series featuring Universal Design for Learning (UDL).  Each webinar in the series will focus on a UDL Guideline and the corresponding checkpoints; best practices and examples for meeting the checkpoints will be provided. UDL Checkpoints 5.1 - 5.3: Provide Options for Expression and Communication will discuss providing alternative modalities that allow learners to easily express knowledge, ideas, and concepts in the learning environment. UDL is a design framework that creates equity in education by removing barriers and optimizing student success by presenting information in an inclusive manner.  While completing the webinars as they are offered is encouraged, the UDL Checkpoints series does not have to be completed in order.

Session Date: January 19, 2022, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Select tools that allow for multiple forms of communication, construction, and composition.
  • Discuss scaffolds that allow learners to become independent in their learning.
