Description:

In this webinar, participants will learn how to create rubrics in Canvas and apply UDL Checkpoints when creating assessments and providing feedback to students. 

Session Date: February 4, 2021, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

 

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

 

  •        Develop rubric criteria that optimize relevance, value, and authenticity (UDL Checkpoint 7.2)
  •        Create a rubric within Canvas and attach the rubric to an assignment or discussion board
  •        Construct assessments that optimize individual choice and autonomy (UDL Checkpoint 7.1)
  •        Provide Mastery Oriented Feedback using rubrics for assessment grading (UDL Checkpoint 8.4)

This webinar is being taught by Dr. Christa Wilhite, the Instructional Design Specialist for the Division of eLearning and Instructional Technology at the Mississippi Community College Board. Christa is a graduate of the University of Alabama and holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. Professionally, Christa is focused on integrating technology into instructional practices to create learning experiences that are cohesive across modes of delivery. In her personal life, Christa enjoys applying learning and motivational constructs when working with dogs in a training environment.
