Course Description:


The CDP Instructional Technology course is designed to address corresponding topics from the courses in the Course Development Program in video format. This self-paced course is an instructional technology supplement for the Course Development Program. The Course Development Program, or CDP,  includes a series of courses that can guide participants in creating high-quality course content. This professional development training series will explore Course Basics, Objectives and Assessments, Interactions, and Accessibility. Focusing on these five areas will ensure that participants will be afforded the opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge and improve their instructional practices.

 

  • Intended Audience: This course is intended for instructors using asynchronous, synchronous, and blended instructional methods.

  • Method: This is a self-paced course. Participants in this course will review content pages, watch videos, review guides, and complete quizzes to learn about Instructional Technology.    

  • Time Needed: This course is estimated to take 4 hours to complete.  
  • Completion Date: This course must be completed by June 3, 2022.

  • Discuss options for using course technologies for providing feedback and collaboration opportunities
  • Discuss options for representing course content in various formats via available technologies
  • Research and select accessible technologies to support student learning
  • Demonstrate the optimization of accessible course technologies
